Free legal advice as roadshow comes to town
Dearne Valley residents will be able to obtain free specialist legal advice when a roadshow stops off in the area next week.
The Raleys Roadshow event has been organised to make legal expertise available to people who might be suffering from a range of injuries or illnesses through no fault of their own, but who find the idea of going to a solicitor too daunting or potentially expensive.
Raleys Solicitors, experts in personal injury law for more than 100 years, is working with Yorkshire Area National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) to organise regular one-to-one advice sessions for the entire local community, including miners past and present, families, friends and neighbours.
Topics for discussion could range from what to do in the event of an accident at home, work or in a car, through to how to make a will or make a compensation claim for exposure to asbestos.
“The aim of these sessions is to offer open, honest and straightforward advice on any area of law,” explained solicitor Debra Allen, of Raleys, who is co-ordinating the surgeries. “We want to help as many people as possible, providing a regular service that is of great value to the community. That’s why although we’re organising the surgeries through Yorkshire Area NUM, they are open to all, including non-union members and local residents.”
The Raleys Roadshow will run from 10am until 1pm on Friday July 3, at Dearne Enterprise Centre, Barnburgh Lane, Goldthorpe, Rotherham.
