Home Information Packs (HIPS)

Following the Government’s introduction of the Home Information Pack (HIP), all properties placed on the open housing market (that is, with an estate agent) after 14th December 2007 will require a HIP.

You will be required to order your HIP before you can legally advertise/market your property through an estate agent or privately to potential buyers.

The HIP will include important documents that a potential purchaser may wish to read and consider before putting in that all important offer. The documents that will be in your HIP are:-

  • Local Authority Searches
  • Copy of up to date title deeds and information
  • Energy Performance Certificate
  • Water and Drainage Search
