Solicitors in Wakefield
Wakefield, situated about 14 miles north of our Barnsley offices, is one of the nearby cities from which Raleys have helped many people over the years. The city of Wakefield has around 80,000 inhabitants, with an estimated 320,000 living within the district boundaries.
Wakefield is a hotbed for rugby, with three professional rugby teams homed within the district; Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, Castleford Tigers and Featherstone Rovers. Unfortunately this means that the area is well acquainted with sporting injuries and solicitors in Wakefield are often involved in rugby related accident claims.
Following the loss of thousands of jobs due to coal mine closures in the 80s and 90s, the Wakefield area has rallied strongly in recent years. Unemployment in the Wakefield District is now below the national average and white collar jobs have become commonplace alongside more traditional industries, such as wool, machine tools, chemicals, steel working and glass. The wide range of working environments means that solicitors in Wakefield and the surrounding area are familiar with dealing with all kinds of work related accident claims.
