The use of asbestos was banned in the UK in 1999 however when someone is diagnosed with an asbestos related condition their work with asbestos will have taken place many years ago.
We will identify where and when the asbestos exposure took place and trace the employer or employers who were responsible. You may still be able to win your claim even if the former employer has gone out of business or had a change of name.
Asbestos was a widely used material that can still be found in many buildings today including factories, offices, houses, schools, hospitals and power stations. People engaged in many different types of work could have been exposed, for example:-
